Delete your account.

In-app (preferred)

1. Open the Mindset Prep app and sign in.
2. Tap the More tab in the bottom navigation.
3. Open Settings → Your account.
4. Scroll to Delete account.
5. Type the word DELETE in the confirmation field and tap Delete my account.

You will be signed out immediately. If you have an active subscription, the app will ask you to cancel it first (see "Active subscriptions" below).

By email (alternative)

If you cannot access the app, email support@mindsetcyber.com.au from the address you registered with. Include the subject line "Account deletion request". We will action the deletion within 7 business days and confirm by reply.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, the following is permanently removed from our systems:

• Account. Your email address, display name, time zone, locale, and authentication identities (password hash, magic-link tokens, OAuth links).
• Study data. Every question attempt, mock exam result, mistake-bank entry, spaced-repetition card state, daily activity aggregate, and streak history.
• Personalisation. Your learning profile, onboarding archetype answers, ring targets, target exam date, exam enrollments, and AI coach insights generated for you.
• AI history. Tutor and Coach interaction records tied to your user ID.
• Notifications. Push notification tokens registered to your devices.
• Subscription record. Your Mindset Prep subscription row (status, plan, renewal data).

What we keep, and why

Some records cannot be deleted immediately because we are legally required to retain them, or because they belong to a payment processor's records rather than ours:

• Payment records. Invoice and transaction history held by Stripe (web) and by Apple App Store / Google Play / RevenueCat (mobile) is retained per their data retention policies and per Australian tax law (typically up to seven years). These processors hold the records; we cannot delete them on your behalf.
• Anonymised analytics. Aggregated, non-identifying usage statistics (e.g. "X% of users complete the diagnostic") remain in our analytics so we can keep improving the product. Your individual analytics profile is removed.
• Backups. Encrypted database backups roll on a 30-day window. Your data is removed from live systems immediately and aged out of backups within 30 days.
• Email logs. Transactional email metadata (delivered / bounced) is retained for 30 days by our email provider for deliverability monitoring, then purged.

Active subscriptions

If you have an active or trialing Mindset Prep subscription, the app will block deletion until you cancel it. To cancel:

• Web (Stripe). Settings → Billing → Manage subscription → Cancel.
• iOS (App Store). iOS Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Mindset Prep → Cancel.
• Android (Google Play). Play Store → tap your avatar → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Mindset Prep → Cancel.

Once the cancellation is effective, return to the in-app deletion flow above. We do not issue partial refunds on cancellation; you keep access until the end of the paid period.

Want a copy first?

Before deleting, you can export everything we hold about you as a single JSON file: Settings → Your account → Download my data. Mindset Prep question content (stems, options, explanations) is excluded from the export — that is our intellectual property, not your data.

How long does deletion take?

In-app: immediate from live systems. Backup roll-off: within 30 days. Payment processor records: per their retention policies (Stripe, Apple, Google).
