Adaptive personalisation

Five study archetypes. The app adapts to yours.

Five questions on day one. We map you to one of five evidence-based archetypes (no VARK pop-psych - all five are grounded in published learning-science research). Then every part of the app changes: card density, scheduling, notification tone, mock-exam cadence, the lot.

The five

Find yours below.

Each block shows the candidate it fits and the specific ways the app changes when it is selected. You can re-take the baseline review any time from Settings if your study habits shift.

02 / Archetype

Methodical Builder

You learn by stacking foundations - and the structure is the point.

Compliance or risk professional. Moderate prior knowledge, mastery-oriented.

How the app changes for you:

  • Concept cards lead with the definition, then the example
  • One domain at a time, with checkpoints when mastery is stable
  • Notifications framed around what you have understood, not what you have scored

03 / Archetype

Big-Picture Explorer

You learn by doing first, then naming the pattern after.

Architect or consultant. High prior knowledge, high tolerance for ambiguity.

How the app changes for you:

  • Scenario-first questions with the definition revealed after
  • Topics interleaved across sessions, not blocked by domain
  • Light elaboration prompts to surface the why behind each control

04 / Archetype

Pragmatic Skipper

You already know a lot - your edge is finding the gaps fast.

Senior practitioner. Time-poor, performance-driven, high prior knowledge.

How the app changes for you:

  • Short sessions tuned to surface what you do not already know
  • Adaptive difficulty climbs quickly once you prove a topic is solid
  • Calibration view shows where your gut and the data disagree

05 / Archetype

Careful Climber

You learn by consolidating - one solid step before the next.

Career-changer or returning learner. Lower prior knowledge, underconfident.

How the app changes for you:

  • Review-led pacing so what you learn sticks before we add more
  • Smaller study targets while your foundation is being built
  • Notifications framed around steady progress, not raw volume

Why this and not VARK

The dimensions that actually predict exam performance.

Classic learning-style profiling (Visual / Auditory / Reading / Kinaesthetic) has been debunked by repeated meta-analyses since 2008. We do not use it. Mindset Prep maps you on five evidence-based dimensions instead.

D1

Prior knowledge

How much of the standard you already know. Controls whether you start with worked examples or skip straight to scenarios.

D2

Goal orientation

Mastery (understand why) vs performance (improve the score). Drives whether the app frames feedback as comprehension or as progress.

D3

Confidence calibration

The gap between how confident you feel and how often you are right. Drives how aggressively the Coach corrects you.

D4

Tolerance for ambiguity

ISO standards are interpretation-heavy. Low tolerance gets definition-first cards; high tolerance gets scenario-first.

D5

Session endurance

Short pulses vs deep blocks. Sets card density and the recommended length of your Daily Three.
