I implement ISMSes for a living. Do I really need this?
Working in the standard and being graded against it are different skills. The exam does not test what you would do; it tests what the standard says. Practitioners are the ones who get burned by that distinction. Mindset Prep closes the gap.
Which certification body does Mindset Prep cover?
All of the major ones. The four personnel certifiers for ISO 27001 Lead Implementer are PECB, CQI/IRCA, Exemplar Global and TRECCERT, and Mindset Prep works for candidates sitting any of them. BSI, TUV and DNV are training and audit firms whose Lead Implementer courses are typically CQI/IRCA-accredited. The practice is grounded in ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO/IEC 27003 themselves, which are identical regardless of who certifies you. Only the exam format and timings differ between providers.
How is this different from the Lead Auditor track?
Lead Implementer is about building the ISMS. Lead Auditor is about evaluating one. Different mental model, different trap patterns. Mindset Prep splits the question bank along that axis and routes you to the right one.
Do I need to know ISO 27003 cold?
Yes. ISO 27003 is where the implementation guidance lives and most providers draw on it. Every Mindset Prep rationale cites the exact 27003 clause where relevant - you build the muscle as you practise.
